Alghero, the places we are

The San Costantino vineyard is located near the Lake of Baratz, the only natural basin in Sardinia, close to the sea and to Alghero. In Janna de Mare (Door of the Sea), between Alghero and Sassari, there are about 20 hectares of vineyards and olive groves, the cellar and the "La Vinia - Bed & Wine Experience". Another 7 hectares are located on the coast of Castelsardo, right in front of the sea. Three historical areas, of high naturalistic, environmental, and agronomic value… three stretches of Sardinia, deeply devoted to viticulture ... and Alghero, a Catalan town with an ancient beauty, which remains the beating heart of our family.

Alghero

A historic city on the northwestern coast of Sardinia, Alghero is one of the most famous tourist destinations on the island. Also known as the heart of the Riviera del Corallo, due to the presence of the precious coral known as "red gold" in its pristine waters, which is among the finest in the world. The city proudly guards a historic center which can still be identified as a Catalan town, from its long years of domination by the Crown of Aragon. Alghero has a coastline about 90 kilometers long, characterized by spectacular cliffs overlooking the sea, such as Capo Caccia and Punta Giglio, and precious beaches bathed by a crystalline sea. Le Bombarde and Lazzaretto are the best-known localities, characterized by coves with very fine, white sand. Among the environmental and naturalistic treasures, the spectacular Grotte di Nettuno (Neptune’s Grotto) deserves a special mention. It is a treasured resource, like most of Alghero’s coastline, protected by the marine area of Capo Caccia - Isola Piana.
